Complaint relating to Lack of Care at ACCOUNT_JOB_COMPANY

Thank you for bringing to our attention of the lack of attention and long wait you and your [son / daughter / child],   FIRST LAST, had to endure in the emergency room on DATE. We do apologise for any additional pain and emotional stress you and  FIRST may have suffered under the circumstances.

Unfortunately DATE was a particular busy day, with the flu season just kicked in and the hospital at its full capacity. Shortly before you arrived, there was a traffic accident at [location] with [five] seriously injured people being rushed to our hospital. As you will appreciate, being a small hospital, our emergency staff was stretched to the limit to help so many patients at the same time.

Having said that, you and FIRST should not have to wait for more than [x] hours under our service pledge. I have personally spoken to the receptionist and the doctor with whom you dealt, and I can assure you that in the future our emergency room will treat future arrivals with care, prompt and detailed attention.
