An inspection of the Vehicle by our representative identified Damage caused during your recent rental.
1. If no other parties were involved
When we receive an independent assessment of the Damage to our vehicle, we will debit Your Account for our loss up to a total amount but not exceeding the excess shown in Your Rental Agreement.
2. If you caused any Third Party Loss
We will debit Your Account for an amount up to the excess shown in your Rental Agreement after we receive an independent assessment of the Damage and we have made a reasonable estimate of the Third Party loss. If the excess you have paid is more than the total Damage and Third Party Loss we will refund that surplus to you once these claims have been finally resolved.
3. If a Third Party is at fault for the Damage to our Vehicle
If the Third-Party was insured and you meet the criteria and have supplied the information set out in the terms and conditions of rental, We will only debit your Account for the amount of the total Damage up to excess shown in your Rental Agreement if the Third Party's insurer has not agreed to pay us for our loss and then only after we have received an independent assessment of the Damage. If your Account has been debited for any amount up to but not exceeding the excess and subsequently we recover our full loss from the Third Party or their insurer we will refund that amount to you. If a full recovery cannot be effected a pro rata proportion of your excess will be refunded.
