SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

At ACCOUNT_JOB_COMPANY, we recognise and respect the right of our employees to express themselves, including via Social Media communication. Social media is a fun and helpful way to share your life and views with family, friends and colleagues around the world. However, the use of social media also presents certain risks and assumes certain responsibilities. To help you make responsible decisions about using social media, we have established guidelines for the proper use of social media.

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on the use of internal and external Social Media and to clarify our expectations where personal use of Social Media involves ACCOUNT_JOB_COMPANY (the “Company”). This policy applies to all employees working in the Company.

A. What is Social Media?

In the rapidly evolving world of electronic communications, social media may mean many things. Social media includes all means of communicating or posting any type of information or content on the Internet (whether or not hosted by the Company), including personal web pages, message boards, networks, communities, and social networking websites, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Digg, Flickr, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest, YouTube, bulletin boards, Chat rooms, blogs, or and any other form of electronic communication. This is a constantly evolving area; therefore, the lack of explicit reference to a specific site or type of Social Media does not limit the application of this policy.

B. Responsibilities

The same principles and guidelines found in the Company policy and the basic rules apply to your online activities. In the end, you should take full responsibility for the content posted online. Before creating online content, please consider some of the risks and rewards involved. Please remember that any action that adversely affects your work performance, the performance of your colleagues or negatively affects members, customers, suppliers, or people working on behalf of the Company may lead to disciplinary actions (including termination).

1. Know and follow the Rules

In addition to the Social Media Policy, please ensure that your postings comply with other Company policies and guidelines. Any misconduct (including discrimination, harassment, sexual remarks, threats of violence, or other improper or illegal behaviour) will not be tolerated and may subject you to disciplinary action or even termination.
