Study Leave Policy

 

1. Purpose and Scope

Study leave policy allows employees to take time off from work to pursue research and academic activities including writing examinations to obtain an additional qualification. This policy sets out the rules and procedure governing the leave entitlements for all the eligible employees of the ACCOUNT_JOB_COMPANY (“Company”). 

The policy applies to all the full-time employees (“Employee”) of the Company.

2.  Eligibility and Entitlement

    (a) The Employee is eligible to apply for study leave after completing NUMBER_MONTHS months of continuous employment with the Company; and

    (b)The Employee is entitled to NUMBER weeks of LEAVE study leave subject to approval by the Employee's immediate supervisor.

    (d) The study leave period can be used continuously or intermittently.

    3.  Benefits

    Employee shall continue to accrue the same benefits including accrual of sick and vacation leave during the parental leave period.

    4.  Procedure

    (a) The Employee wishing to avail of the study leave must submit a written notice at least 5 weeks prior to the requested start date for study leave.

    (b) The written notice must include the following:
