CCTV Policy

1.     Definitions:

 1.1 In this policy, the following terms have the following meanings: 

CCTV: Cameras that capture and record images and videos of persons and property 

Data: Refers to the information stored in digital or paper form. It also includes pictures, such as screenshots.

Data Subjects: All persons regarding whom we have personal information resulting from the operation of CCTV and other surveillance systems.

Personal Data: Information relating to an individual who can be identified from it.

Controllers: The natural or legal person, who, alone or jointly with others, determines the manner in which any personal data is processed. Controllers must establish, maintain and follow policies and practices to maintain compliance with the law.

Data Users: Are those of ACCOUNT_JOB_COMPANY’s employees who process personal data as part of their work. Data users include those employees who operate CCTV and other surveillance systems to monitor, record, retrieve and delete images and videos. Data users must handle the data in accordance with this policy to ensure the protection of such data.

Data Processors: Any natural or legal person, that is not a data user (or other employee of a controller) that processes personal data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions

Processing: Any activity involving the use of the data including obtaining, recording and holding the data. It also includes carrying out any operation on the data including organising, retrieving, disclosing, using, destroying or amending the data. Furthermore, it includes the transfer of personal data to third parties.

Surveillance Systems: This means any systems or devices designed to monitor or record videos or images of individuals. It includes CCTV systems, VHS, or digital camera surveillance systems, and any other technologies that may be introduced in the future

2.     Policy Statement:

2.1 CCTV and other surveillance systems play a key part in maintaining a safe working environment for all. Nonetheless, we understand that people may feel their privacy is being invaded through our usage of CCTV and other surveillance systems.  This policy is intended to address these privacy concerns. Any images or videos captured and recorded by surveillance systems constitute personal data, which are only to be processed in accordance with data protection laws. In this regard, we are keen to ensure we fulfil our legal obligations and respect the legal rights of our staff.
