You informed me that you intended to draw on me at PERIOD for the amount due on your invoice, namely SUM.

Until now I have had no difficulty in meeting my obligations and have always settled my accounts promptly. I could have done so now had it not been for REASONS. I should therefore be most grateful if you could draw your bill at EXTENSION instead of the proposed period. This would enable me to meet a temporarily difficult situation that has been forced upon me by circumstances that could not be foreseen.
