Emergency Action Plan NAMEADDRESS

WORKPLACE EMERGENCIES

Guidelines for all reasonably anticipated workplace situations are included in this Emergency Action Plan (EAP). The recommendations only offer broad advice because every emergency scenario has different variables. When reacting to an emergency, careful measures based on scenario evaluation are always necessary. It's also critical to remember that emergency protocols don't always follow a set of procedures.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Emergency Coordinator (EC)

Duties/Responsibility during an Emergency:

  • Make sure floor captains start and finish evacuation and/or accountability.
  • When necessary, arrange for the personnel to be evacuated in an orderly manner.
  • Ensure that our employees are held accountable for the event and/or evacuation.
  • Give the required facility information to Emergency Response staff.
  • Notify Emergency Response and Building Management of any missing employees.

B. Floor Captain (FC)

Each zone will have a minimum of one floor captain.

Duties/Responsibilities during an Emergency:

  • Make sure that everyone in your zone is held accountable, put on a vest, and bring your smartphone and a copy of the EAP Position and Personnel Roster.
  • During an evacuation, tell staff not to use the elevators as they will be taken out of operation and instead lead people out of your area and out the stairwells.
  • As soon as you get in the Assembly Area, make sure that every employee is there or is otherwise accounted for (for example, due to illness, travel, vacation, or meetings).
  • Notify the emergency coordinator right once of any missing or unaccounted-for staff.

C. Assistance to Individuals with Disabilities

An individual who actively uses weapons to murder or attempt to kill people in a crowded, restricted space is known as a "active shooter."
