Application for Admission - FIRST LAST

We refer to my child's application for admission to Year YEAR of your school.

We were disappointed but not surprised to have received the waitlist letter as SCHOOL is the top choice of many people we know.  We understand your school employs a proper and thorough selection process and often has to draw a very thin line between admission and waitlist decisions.   

As such, we would like to plea for a second chance to present FIRST's case for your kind consideration.  While academic and extra-curricular records are fundamental qualities of a student, we believe a key distinguishing factor is the character of the student.  For the last few years, our child has been brew in a friendly and small group environment at CURRENT.  Everyone knows everyone else by their first name and if someone needs something, there is always someone there to help.  The bonding built up among the students is so strong that you can tell some will be friends forever.  While winning and ranking are hardcore measures of success, CURRENT always stresses the importance of conducting oneself in the process of trying to win. With that mentality, we believe our child is a good fit for your school's philosophy.

We cannot agree more with the founding principles of your school, PRINCIPLES. We have great regard for the reputation of this school, a leader in [activities-based education], with a great culture for learning and excellence. We believe that your school [special programs] will provide an excellent environment and a solid foundation for FIRST to be equipped with the tools needed in an ever-changing world.
