This is a due diligence checklist for Angel Investor / Venture Capital / Private Equity to invest in startups.
This checklist assumes that there will be a Startup Company whereby investor(s) will provide an investment and participate in the equity of the Company. This can be used by seed investors such as angel investor, venture capital, and private equity fund investing into a Startup.
By investigating the Company's business such as its structure, management, investors' protection, exit and termination, accounting policies, privacy protection, liability, assets and licences, this checklist helps investors decide whether to proceed with the investment. It helps reduce risk and facilitate a positive return.
This document should be carefully read by the Individual Investor and Company.
This checklist can be used in the due diligence process of assessing whether the Company is a good investment for the investor. It includes questions on issues relating to the investment and requests the Company to provide relevant documents.
